A strange thought visited me:

"I haven't watched anything from Veritasium recently. [That means] I don't know the current developments in physics and technology!"

I suddenly felt an urge to watch a recent Veritasium video.

Then I noticed a problem: once something gets discovered, it typically takes a long time for a quality video to become available on the topic.

First of all, the research has to first be discovered by someone else. It needs to be read, discussed. Somebody with filming skills has to be available.

All those conditions mean: once something gets discovered, it will take a much longer time for a video to appear.

Reading a scientific article, while it "feels slow", gets you to the same knowledge in a matter of hours – and requires from you only the curiosity, and willingness to sit down and keep reading.

To keep up with the latest developments, keep reading, not watching:)
